Southern Throwdown!
Saturday, October 16th watch The Crescent Wenches take on Pearl River Roller Derby of Mississippi for a real Southern throwdown.
As always, the derby action takes place at UNO's Human Performance Center located at the corner of Leon C. Simon Dr. and Elysian Fields Avenue.
The doors open at 6pm and the action starts at 7pm. ADVANCE TICKETS are only $12, and at the door they are $15 for adults and $6 for children.
Our charity this month is Planned Parenthood, whose goal is to ensure that every individual has the information, services, and freedom to make healthy, responsible decisions about sex, sexuality, and parenthood.
Halftime entertainment by The Parishoners and DJ Gumbo.
With special appearances by The Krewe of The Rolling Elvi and The Pussyfooters.
We will also be debuting our 2011 Calendar "Big Easy Rollergirls in the Movies!" Photographed by Scott Stuntz, this 12-month calendar is packed with all of your favorite rollergirls. Be sure and swing by the merchandise table and pick one up for only $15.
After the bout, join the rollergirls at the 12 Bar located at 608 Fulton Street in the Warehouse District.
